Game Changers: How Board Games Facilitate face-to-face Social interaction

Why I Did this Story:

I made this package for an assignment in my Intro to Video Journalism class at Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

I chose to do this story because I thought the board game community provided a unique insight to the value of face-to-face interaction. I think it is especially relevant in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, as we are still dealing with some of the effects of the prolonged lack of face-to-face interaction.

I also thought this story would be relevant now since the Psychology study that I reference in the video was published online July 12, 2023, and it provides a scientific insight into the importance of those face-to-face interactions that my sources in the story talk about.
